Favorite Des Moines, IA Coffee Shops and Drink Orders

I can technically do a lot of work from the comforts of our house, ie: in my pj’s and sans bra, but sometimes I need to get out of the house to spark some creativity and refuel my tank with a delicious coffee. During the warmer months, my go-to is an iced coffee, and while I love the sugary versions, I try to save those for a very special occasion. My normal order is a sugar-free vanilla latte…and if I’m being very good…I’ll add almond milk instead of regular.

Recently on Instagram and Facebook (you can follow me HERE and HERE respectively), I asked you all for some suggestions for local coffee shops + coffee orders that you all love and you totally came through for me! Note: if you’re not local to Des Moines, IA, we’d love to have you…or you can just take all the fab ideas I got for coffee orders and see if your local coffee shop will make them for you! Thankfully, though, there are a few national coffee shops that made the list too!

1. Smokey Row – Jamocha Shake and Iced Coffee with Caramel. *While I do love their coffee drinks, I have to say what makes my heart sing at Smokey Row is the Rice Krispies treats. They’re literally the size of my head and so delicious!
